Well it wasn't hard to replace at all pretty easy. But trying to figure out what the problem was that got me. I turned of my oven and the light continued to stay on like it wasn't turn off but it was. I researched it and said it was the oven elements not true I was already confused enough so I said let go to the source of what make oven come on the oven control knob so I took the old switch off and looked up the numbers and ordered the part and lucky me that was the problem less than 50$ to fix...

Oven came on with the temperature dial in the off position and wouldn't turn off Jason V. • Lake Worth , FL • January 13, 2016
The repair was relatively simple and quick. The only part required was a new oven thermostat assembly and the tools I used for my model was a flathead screwdriver, cross-point screwdriver, torque bit and 1/4 inch socket using a bit driver. To complete the repair, I did the following:
1. Remove all top stove burner pieces and place to the side. Remove the 3 three screws (torque bit) in each of the 4 burner locations. That will allow the top lid to separate from the main unit later.
2. Pull...

GE Microwave/Convection Oven. Removed case (carefully). Tested in-line power cord fuse with multi-meter. Fuse was good. Noticed a scorch mark on a wire connected to the oven cavity thermal fuse. The fuse appeared to have been overheated from too much movement in it's mount. Removed part from unit and used number on the part to order a new one. Installed new part, re-assembled, and unit works fine.

This replacement part is a high-limit thermostat, and it is intended for use in different types of appliances. This is a genuine replacement part made by General Electric. This high-limit thermostat is typically found in dryers and controls the heat inside the drying tub. This is especially important as different dryer settings require different amounts of heat. If the high limit thermostat works properly, the temperature inside the tub should reach the correct amount during each drying cycle with no issues. A new high-limit thermostat might be needed if the user notices that the dryer is unable to reach the appropriate level of heat for a certain drying cycle. This is also true if the dryer is becoming too hot when the heat is supposed to be set to low. Make sure the dryer is cooled down prior to replacing this part as the areas in the back of the dryer can become very hot during use. Be sure to reference the specific user manual for more instructions on how to replace the thermostat. This thermostat is sold individually and is a genuine OEM part. The thermostat is sourced directly from the manufacturer.

Top-heat thermostat that controls the oven's upper heating circuit to maintain proper temperature. Replacing a failing thermostat restores consistent broil/top-bake performance and helps the oven reach set temperatures reliably. What it does
- Regulates the oven's top/broil heating element by cycling the circuit on and off to hold set temperatures.
- Restores proper top-heat and browning when a failed thermostat causes inconsistent or weak broil performance.
- Addresses symptoms such as broil not activating, uneven top browning, or the oven struggling to reach set temperatures.
- Works with the oven's control system to maintain safe, repeatable top-heat operation.
What's included One thermostat. Install notes
- Disconnect power to the appliance at the breaker or unplug before starting; allow the oven to cool completely.
- Access varies by model; remove the required control or oven panels to reach the thermostat.
- Label or photograph wiring before disconnecting so connectors are returned to their original positions.
- After installation, restore power and verify proper broil/top-heat operation.

This modulating thermostat controls oven temperature by cycling the heating element to maintain consistent cooking heat. It replaces a failed temperature regulator so your oven can reach and hold set temperatures more reliably. What it does:
- Senses oven temperature and modulates power to the heating element to stabilize cooking temperature
- Helps prevent large temperature swings that cause uneven baking or roasting
- Commonly replaced when the oven won't reach or maintain set temperature or cycles on/off too frequently
- Works as the temperature control interface between the oven sensor and the heating elements
What's included:
- One modulating thermostat assembly
Install notes:
- Disconnect power to the appliance before beginning any repair to avoid shock or injury
- Handle thermostat and any attached sensing bulb or probe carefully; avoid kinking or damaging sensing components
- Verify wiring location and routing before removal; transfer all connectors exactly as removed

Oven thermostat switch would not rotate to off position and required replacement Doris C. • Lewisville , AR • December 23, 2019
One of the slip nuts was seized and was twisting the line when I turned it for removal. I was able to remove the other two lines and hold the nut with a wrench and spin the switch assembly in order to disconnect this line without damaging it. I attached the new switch with the same technique. I found it easier to remove the squeeze clips holding the oven temperature sensor (connected to the switch assembly) on the back wall for removal and replacement instead of attempting it reaching to the...
