Description

This genuine OEM part is a replacement brake arm assembly for a riding lawn mower or tractor. It is possible to disengage the blades on a riding mower or tractor so that the operator can continue driving without mowing any more grass. However, if left unchecked, the blades would continue to spin. To prevent this, manufacturers install a brake arm to apply pressure on the pulley system and keep the blades from turning. If an operator rides over something heavy enough to drag on the blades, the force could tear the brake arm and cause it to stop working. Should this happen, the blade may not start properly and could even be damaged. Be sure to check the other parts involved.
