Description

This deck belt is a genuine OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer for use on lawnmowers. This belt connects the crankshaft to the blades on the lawnmower to make them turn. Over time, the nylon on this belt will deteriorate and fray, causing it to break. When this happens, the belt should be replaced, or the lawnmower will not cut. During maintenance and inspection, the belt should be inspected, and if it appears worn, it should be removed and replaced to prevent it from breaking while the mower is in use.Before removing the belt, make sure the lawnmower is not hot from use. Remove the key from the ignition and take the spark plug out. Remove the bolt on the pulley to loosen the belt and make it easier to remove it. Discard the old belt and slide the new one in place. Make sure the belt is fitted before tightening the bolt. Put the spark plug back in the mower. Crank the mower to make sure the blades engage.
