Description

This deck drive belt is an authentic OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer for use on lawnmowers. The deck drive belt connects the crankshaft to the lawnmower blades and causes the blades to turn to cut the grass. If the blade comes in contact with rocks or sharp objects during cutting, the deck drive belt could be damaged or break. If the belt is missing, the lawnmower blades will not turn and the lawnmower will not function correctly. If this occurs, the blades will not turn and the deck drive belt will need to be replaced.Before beginning the repair, take the spark plug out of the lawnmower and park it in a flat area. Remove the spark plug and take the key out of the ignition. Remove the mower deck from the lawnmower and prop the mower on blocks while the deck is off. Locate the deck drive pulley and loosen the idler pulley nuts to help remove the broken belt. Place the new deck belt on the pulley and tighten the nuts. Put the deck back on the lawnmower.
