Description

This genuine Husqvarna chain brake assembly can be used as a replacement part for chainsaws. The chain brake assembly contains the brake band as well as the spring and the plastic housing for it that affixes the part to the clutch drum. When activated, the brake band tightens around the clutch drum in order to stop the chain from rotating. A chain brake assembly might have to be ordered as a complete replacement if the brake band and its housing both suffer damage that prevents both parts from functioning as usual. If the brake band is activated while the engine continues to run, this could cause the appliance to overheat, thereby damaging all components associated with the chain brake assembly.
