Description

This replacement part is a cylinder for lawnmowers. The cylinder is the casing in which the piston travels. Over time, cylinders can degrade due to excessive wear and tear. If the mower is no longer cutting efficiently, and the engine doesn't have the same amount of power as it once had, it might be time to replace the cylinder. Luckily replacing a cylinder is a relatively easy process.To replace the cylinder, start by gaining access to the mower's engine. Make sure the engine head is cool and the ignition switch is in the off position. Lift up the engine cover and detach it. Rotate the air filter cover knobs counterclockwise and lift off the air filter. Use a wrench to unfasten the blower housing mounting bolts. Detach the oil drain tube and lift off the blower housing. Detach the wiring from the spark plug and pull the wire from the mounting bracket. Use a large flathead screwdriver to unmount the engine cover. Locate the cylinder and remove the mounting bolts that secure it to the engine. Once removed, replace with the new cylinder by lining it up in its correct position.
