Description

This is a replacement lawn mower adjuster kit. This kit is used to replace the adjuster that moves the lawn mower deck to the user's desired mowing height. If the original adjuster becomes worn or damaged, the mower deck may not stay locked into the height set by the user, causing it to move during mowing. The adjuster may become locked in a position too high to effectively cut the grass or locked so low that mowing would scalp the turf. To replace the adjuster, remove the wheel of the mower's damaged adjuster by removing the center wheel nut. A hex head flange lock may be present and will need to be removed. Remove the bolt that holds the original adjuster to the mower. Place the new adjuster and reverse the process to replace all bolts and nuts. Gloves should always be worn to avoid hand injuries. Recommended tools include a 9/16 inch nut driver, 3/8 inch nut driver, and a flat-head screwdriver. The adjuster kit is sold individually and is an OEM part that is sourced directly from the manufacturer. The kit is designed to replace damaged adjusters on the following lawn tractors; Poulan, Poulan Pro, Weed Eater, McCulloch, Redmax, AYP, Husqvarna, Jonsered, and Craftsman.
