Description

The carburetor takes in air and fuel from the engine and mix them together, sending them through a butterfly valve into the engine. Though the carburetor has filters in place, it can still become clogged or damaged over time. It may just wear out and stop working. Assess the carburetor by putting fuel directly into the carburetor and starting the engine. If the engine dies as soon as it starts, it's likely the carburetor needs to be replaced. This carburetor assembly manufactured by Poulan for use in select lawn and garden equipment engines can provide the ideal replacement part. Be sure to disconnect the spark plug before beginning any engine work and always wear gloves. Drain the fuel system when replacing this part for safety and ease of repair. This OEM replacement can be used in Weed Eater and Poulan gas trimmers with compatible model numbers. It will work with about a dozen trimmers and pruners from these two brands.
