Description

This genuine OEM replacement part is a sprocket kit for an electric chainsaw. This kit includes a sprocket, a C-clip, and a retaining washer. This sprocket has six teeth which engage the chain of the saw. As the sprocket turns, so too does the chain. It connects to the sprocket drum bearing. The retaining washer provides a barrier between these parts, all of which are held in place by the C-clip. If a sprocket comes out of alignment, it can quickly degrade to the point that the teeth no longer engage the chain and may even break off. Should this happen, the sprocket will appear to spin but the chain will not move. When switching out a sprocket, it is good practice to also replace the washer and C-clip, as they often experience the same amount of wear and tear. To do so, use a pair of pliers or a screwdriver to pop off the old clip and remove the parts by hand. Reassemble with the new parts.
