Description

This is a genuine OEM replacement choke lever is sourced from the manufacturer for use on chainsaws. The choke lever is triggered by the choke knob to open the choke when cranking the chainsaw's engine. The choke is used to limit airflow into the carburetor when starting the engine. In cold temperatures, this enriches the mixture of fuel to air and forces this into the carburetor.Normal wear and tear can cause the choke lever to crack and possibly break. Accidents such as dropping the chainsaw may also cause the lever to break. Without the choke lever, the choke cannot be engaged when needed and the engine may not start in cold weather. When this occurs, the lever will need to be replaced. This is a simple repair that requires a Phillips head screwdriver, flat head screwdriver, ratchet and socket set, and torque drivers. Remove the top cover to access the choke knob. Remove the cover from the air filter and the ignition switch lever. Disconnect the choke from the carburetor linkage and remove the lever. Install the new lever. Connect the new lever to the carburetor linkage. Reinstall the ignition switch lever, air filter cover, and outer covering. This choke lever is designed for use on chainsaws.
