Description

This is a replacement engine pulley. Attached to the engine crankshaft, the engine pulley drives the transmission belt of the lawn tractor. Engine pulleys can become worn and damaged with repeated use. A warning sign that damage is occurring may be a whining noise coming from the engine. A worn and damaged engine pulley can lead the belt positioned on it to wear or break, as well. To install a new engine pulley, after removing the old pulley, place a lock washer topped by a flat washer onto the engine pulley bolt. Then place the engine pulley bolt into the engine pulley's center hole from the larger pulley's side. A spacer washer is then placed on the engine pulley bolt, located on the small pulley side. The rounded side of the spacer should face up. Using a socket wrench, install the pulley till it is tight on the lawn tractor. Consult the owner's manual to find the ideal torque rating. This engine pulley is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer.
