Description

This is a Husqvarna right hand drive retainer for lawn mowers. A drive retainer is installed in a lawn mower and is part of the driving system. The drive retainer connects the drive gear to the driveshaft and propels the lawn mower wheel on the corresponding side.When lawn mower wheels don't turn, this is more than likely a problem with the drive system. An inspection of the belt system can indicate which component is the issue. In some cases, the problem can be a broken or snapped drive belt. Other times, the drive retainer may be damaged, causing the belt to slip off or not propel the wheel properly. A damaged drive retainer will cause premature damage to a belt and create a need for constant replacement.
