Description

Craftsman manufactures this cylinder head bolt that fastens the cylinder of a small gasoline-powered engine to the engine manifold. There are often two head bolts that secure the cylinder. The placement of the bolts is important as it not only fastens the two engine parts together, but holds the cylinder gasket in place, as well. Among the equipment that uses this type of cylinder head bolt are leaf blowers, power vacuums, grass trimmers, edgers, and hedge trimmers. While it is rare for the bolts to fail, the gasket they hold in place can sometimes wear and allow oil to leak outside the engine manifold or into the combustion chamber. This is revealed by white, oily smoke or an abundance of oil on the equipment.
