Description

This is a replacement part made to be used with a chainsaw. It is circular in shape with a star pattern on top of it. The spur sprocket is what drives the chain of the saw. Ideally, sprockets should be changed every two to three chains. The clutch assembly is usually replaced with the spur sprocket. This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is sold individually.To replace a spur sprocket, first remove the top cover of the chainsaw and remove the spark plug to ensure the motor does not start. Remove the clutch and old sprocket. Lubricate the bearing if needed, install the new sprocket and then the new clutch. Place the spark plug back where it belongs and place the cover back on the chainsaw. The saw is now ready to be used.
