Description

This is a Husqvarna replacement deck belt. The deck belt, otherwise known as the drive deck belt, transfers the torque from the engine shaft to the transmission's input shaft. This action propels the lawn mower forward and powers the spin of the blade. There could be a number of reasons for a worn down or broken deck belt. Overtightening usually is one of the main culprits. Most belts will eventually succumb to regular wear at some point and require a replacement. There might be a squeaking or whining noise coming from the deck area if a belt is worn down or fastened too tight. Begin replacing the deck belt by raising the deck to its highest level. Remove the deck guards from the mower. Take off the belt-keep rod and remove the idler pulley nuts.
