Description

This is a replacement V-belt that is supplied directly from the manufacturer. The V-belt connects the drive pulley to the transmission pulley. This allows the mower to move forward efficiently. The V-belt is made from rubber. Belts of any type will need to be replaced due to wear from regular use. All belts should be inspected prior to each mowing season for any tears or holes. Shine and flatness are also telltale signs of a belt in need of replacement. The mower may also not propel as well as it used to. The process of replacing the belt will differ slightly between each model. It can be accessed under the mower deck when it has been completely lowered on riding mowers. On older self-propelled mowers, the mower deck may need to be removed to access the location of the belt.
