Description

This steering wheel is an authentic OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer for use on lawnmowers and lawn tractors. The steering wheel is used to control the direction of the lawnmower or lawn tractor when it is being operated. When the steering wheel is turned, the steering assembly works to move the wheels in the corresponding direction. If the steering wheel is damaged due to normal wear and tear or the elements, it should be removed and replaced with a new one. Take the key out of the ignition and remove the spark plug from the mower. Use a flat head screwdriver to pop the center insert out of the steering wheel. Loosen the locking washer with a wrench. Remove the locking washer and the flat washer underneath it, set those aside. Lift the steering wheel off the steering boot. Place the new steering wheel on the steering boot. Place the large flat washer over the extension shaft and then the locking washer. Tighten the washer and pop the center insert back into place. This steering wheel is made of durable black molded plastic and is sold as an individual unit.
