Huskee / Husky Lawn Mower Fastener
Genuine Mtd part
By: Mtd
Part Number: 712-04063
A flange nut's unique wide flange design distributes the nut's pressure over the part it is securing. In return, it creates an even fastening surface, which reduces part damage and nut loosening. This one-piece all-metal fastener has a lock nut version that features a protruding circular flange. This drastically increases bearing surface, compatibility either for irregular or oversized holes, and surface tension reduction.
Flange lock nuts are the preferred type of fastener for many lawnmower models because it can provide better fastening than regular screws, which are known to loosen under extreme vibration. However, it’s important to know that flange lock nuts are susceptible to wear and tear due to constant vibration exposure. It is essential to replace the broken flange lock nut immediately to prevent serious damage to the lawnmower.
The MTD 712-04063 Flange Lock Nut OEM replacement can be used with Craftsman, White Outdoor, Yard Machines, MTD, or Columbia lawnmowers. It is a genuine or OEM MTD replacement part that measures 5/16-18. It is threaded and requires the use of a wrench. This replacement flange lock nut is sold individually. An MTD bolt carriage may also be needed and is sold separately.

Removed old scraper blade. Filed away bent edges where casing was worn. Installed new scraper blade and bolts. added a backing plate to body where erosion occurred. East repair. Best part was that big snowstorm was forecast for Wednesday night. 12-18 inches expected. Parts arrived on Wednesday morning, right at time predicted. I was up and running before the snow hit (actually only got 6 inches. So much for the Storm of the Century)

A flange lock nut, also known as a flange lock or a lock nut, is created to be used in various types of lawn and garden equipment. This flange lock nut holds other parts in place and, when properly threaded, will resist loosening. Over time, a flange lock nut may begin to weaken and may become loose or break. If it appears to be broken or weak, a replacement is required. Flange locks can be adjusted and uninstalled after use. When replacement is required, you may need a socket set, screwdriver, hacksaw, and butane torch. The socket wrench will loosen the bolt it is connected to, while the torch is used to heat the lock nut. A socket wrench may remove the nut, but sometimes cutting it with a hacksaw is required. This flange lock nut is a genuine OEM component directly from the manufacturer and comes in an individual unit. It is made of metal, a gold color, and can be found in various areas of lawn equipment. It works with lawnmowers, trimmers, snowblowers, cultivators, tillers, and leaf blowers by Poulan, MTD, Toro, Cub Cadet, Murray, Troy-Bilt, Bolens, Yard Machines, Craftsman, and Yard-Man.

This is a wing knob typically used on walk-behind push mowers. The knob helps to secure the handles of the mower. Without a functioning wing knob, the handles will not stay affixed to the machine, rendering it unusable.Wing knobs tend to be durable, and they can withstand the normal amount of use they would get with regular mowing. However, it is possible that one could become damaged, or it could be worn down over time. The plastic could break or crack, the threading could be damaged, or the metal might start to corrode. Any damage would require a replacement. This is a fast and simple repair to make. However, tools needed for the job will vary depending on the nature of the break, such as having the handle brake free from the bolt. This plastic and metal wing knob works with lawnmowers from Yard-Man, MTD, Bolens, Yard Machines, Troy-Bilt, Husky, and Cub Cadet. This is a genuine OEM replacement part that is sold individually.

This is a shoulder screw that is used to secure the handles of yard equipment. Typically, this screw is used with a matching wing nut, which is sold separately. Many different varieties of push lawn mowers have handles that fold downward for ease of storage. This is one of the locations on a mower where one will find shoulder bolts and the point at which these bolts are most likely wear out. While they are made of durable machined metal, shoulder bolts receive a great deal of wear, particularly from the handles being raised and lowered each time the mower is used. When pushing down on the mower to clear wet grass clippings or to make sharp turns with the mower, the entire weight of the mower is put on the two shoulder screws where they intersect. Since the metal of the handles can turn at that juncture, extra shearing action is put on the shoulder bolts, which can wear out. It is actually advantageous that the bolts wear out since otherwise, the handles themselves would warp and break apart. These OEM genuine replacement parts fit a number of different lawn and garden machines, including many made by Cub Cadets, Husky, Troy-Bilt, Craftsman, Yard-Man, Bolens, MTD, and Yard-Machines.

This is a genuine replacement shoulder screw that is compatible with select models of lawn tractors. The shoulder screw has multiple applications in lawn tractors, where it is typically used as some kind of axle for wheels or other components. Over time, this type of screw can become worn from repetitive motion or the threads can start to strip. If the screw fails or is unable to work effectively, it can affect whatever it is responsible for securing or holding, as well. This could result in the entire machine not working until a replacement is made. This is a genuine manufacturer's replacement manufactured by MTD. It is compatible with their lawn tractors as well as those from Yard Machines, Troy-Bilt, Yard Man, Husky, and Cub Cadet. The screw is made of durable metal and is sold as a single unit. This is considered specialty hardware and is also sometimes referred to as a shoulder bolt.

This flange lock nut is a metal component used in many types of lawn and garden equipment. It is the part that attaches to the rear wheel to keep it steady on any kind of terrain. It can also be used on handles and chutes for some equipment. The nut size is 3/8 and it has a thread size of 16. Most flange lock nuts will last for years. In some cases, the silicone ring inside the nut will wear down when it is loosened and tightened. When this happens, the flange lock nut will start to move around. It can start as minor slippage but often gets worse over time. It will need to be replaced but this is a simple task. Regardless of what equipment it is attached to, it simply needs to be unscrewed. Take off the old nut and replace it with the new one. This flange lock nut is an authentic OEM product that is sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is sold individually. The lock nut is made for use with lawnmowers, wood chippers, and edgers manufactured by MasterCut, Yard-Man, Bolens, Craftsman, Cub Cadet, Murray, Troy-Bilt, Yard Machines, MTD, and Huskee.

This is a genuine OEM replacement pin commonly found in chippers and shredders. This pin is part of a larger clevis pin and helps secure the larger pin into an engine. Clevis pins are inexpensive metal fasteners that connect parts without having to thread into the body of another part. They have a three-part construction consisting of the clevis, a pin, and a tang. This part is the pin that fasteners the clevis. The most likely reason why this pin would need replacing is if it fell out while the engine was running. Engines produce enough heat to cause parts to expand, and it is possible that a clevis could have expanded and the pin fell out. Should this happen, the clevis will no long fasten, and the pin will need to be replaced. Clevises are found in multiple places throughout an engine, so be sure to follow the user's manual to identify the right part. This pin is compatible with MTD, Huskee, Bolens, and Troy-Bilt clevises and comes sourced from the original manufacturer. This pin does not include a replacement clevis. It ships individually.

This carriage bolt is a fastener with a flat tip and a round head with threading along the shank. Also known as coach bolts and plow bolts, the item can be used with many types of lawn and garden equipment. This is a 5/16 carriage bolt that resists turning after the bolt has been tightened. Wear and tear or impact can cause damage to a carriage bolt and lead to the need to replace them.Removing a carriage bolt requires twisting the nut loose from the end of the bolt and then hitting the nut with a hammer. This will begin to move the shoulder out of the lawn equipment. Continue the process until the bolt is loose enough to remove. Installing a new carriage bolt simply requires sliding the bolt into the hole, adding the nut, and tightening things up.This carriage bolt is designed for use with Craftsman, MasterCut, Toro, Yard-Man, Cub Cadet, Montgomery Wards, Ryobi, Huskee, Troy-Bilt, MTD, and Yard Machines lawn and garden equipment. It can be used with lawnmowers, chainsaws, snowblowers, edgers, and tillers. This is a genuine OEM product sourced directly from the manufacturer as an individual component.

This klik pin is used as a fastener on various lawn equipment such as tillers and lawnmowers. It is often used as a way to hold the wheel onto the assembly so the equipment can easily move over rough terrain. If the tool is having trouble with terrain and movement, it could be related to the klik pin. It may have become bent, damaged, or broken. If those things occur, or the klik pin is missing, it will need to be replaced.Getting access to the klik pin is fairly easy. It will be securing the wheel to the axle and will need to be pulled off. A quick look at the pin will give an idea of whether it is damaged or broken. If it is, the solution is to replace the part with a new klik pin. This klik pin is a genuine OEM replacement part that is directly sourced from the manufacturer. It is sold as an individual component. The pin is made to be used in lawnmowers, edgers, snowblowers, and tillers created by Craftsman, Cub Cadet, Ryobi, Troy-Bilt, Yard Machines, MTD, Huskee, Montgomery Wards, Bolens, Yard-Man, and MasterCut.

Meant for snowblowers, riding lawnmowers, and lawn tractors, this bow-tie shaped cotter pin has a double-end design making it easy to pull or push through either side of a pre-drilled hole. This pin snaps into a locked position without tension, keeping it secure during operation. Designed for lawn and garden maintenance equipment, this part ensures secure fastening.
If the power equipment is used frequently, cotter pins may have to be replaced regularly so it would be practical to keep extra bow tie cotter pins on hand.
It is highly recommended that work gloves be worn during the installation of this part. This part is compatible with Craftsman, Cub Cadet, Troy-Bilt, Murray, Yard Machines, MTD, Huskee, Bolens, Yard-Man, and MasterCut brands of lawn mower, snowblower, and log splitters.
