Description

This component is a deck belt used in lawn mowers and lawn tractors. It is attached to the transmission pulley and is responsible for helping drive the machine. The deck belt helps the mower blades turn while in use. If the belt is cracking, it should be replaced before it breaks. When the deck belt breaks, the lawn mower will not operate correctly.Park the lawn mower on a flat surface, turn off the engine and remove the key. Disconnect the spark plug wire to prevent the equipment from starting on accident. Put the mower deck at its highest position and place wooden blocks. Lower the deck onto the blocks. The belt will need to be removed from the engine pulley and the idler arm. If stabilizer and lift arms are present, disconnect them. Pull the hooks on both sides to release the deck. Remove the belt guard to take off the original belt.
