Gerald W Allen , TX May 30, 2015 Appliance: LG Refrigerator LRFD25850TT The left door cam shaft (latch to keep it closed) broke Ordered the part from AppliancePartsPros.com for less than $3.00. It took me less than 5 minutes to replace the part. I got two estimates to fix this and just to come out and look at the problem was $150 plus a 2nd trip out to replace the part. I ordered an extra for the left door and one for the right door. Read More... 25 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers

The door now works perfectly and the video probably saved me hundreds because I didn't need to call a repairman. Jay S Sarasota , FL December 17, 2019 Appliance: Model LG RLRC25850TT The right fool latch broke off I ordered the part and followed a fantastic video. However, I took the molding and unsnapped the molding and found that the part called gasket holder (AppliancePartsPros told what it was called) The part came quickly so I went through the process again but when I got to the rubber/ plastic molding I found one piece around the door. I decided to cut it at the bottom corner and slid it up out of the slot and piped out the two clips holding it to the door. I slid the gasket into the bed holder making sure that the two springs were one in the outside and one side was on the underside. I snapped the two gasket holder plastic clips into the door and replaced the plastic molding. It was a breeze that took two screwdrivers and a push from the palm of my hand,15 minutes total time but an hour thinking about it. The only issue was the gasket slit at the bottom corner - I did not tape it or glue - it seemed to be sealed so I did nothing and it works great Read More...
