Description

A small Zener diode used on the appliance control board to clamp and regulate voltage, protecting sensitive electronics and helping ensure stable operation. Replaces a failed diode to restore proper voltage control on the board. What it does:
  • Clamps voltage to a safe level to protect downstream circuitry
  • Helps stabilize power to control board components and sensors
  • A failing diode can cause intermittent power, erratic control behavior, or control-board faults
  • Commonly replaced when board diagnostics indicate a shorted or open diode
What's included: One Zener diode Install notes:
  • Disconnect power before servicing and discharge capacitors on the control board
  • Requires soldering/desoldering to remove and replace on the circuit board
  • Handle with ESD precautions and avoid overheating the board traces
