Randy C Florence , NJ August 06, 2026 Appliance: LG Side-By-Side Refrigerator LRSOS2706S/00 The freezer stopped working and refrigerator started getting warm e cf lg instaview side by side Replaced the machine area (Compressor and condenser cavity in lower back of fridge) I removed 1 screw, hard part was getting clips loose that hold the fan in place, removed the fan blade, I replaced both the fan motor and the blade and cleaned out the coils while in there. Josh V St. Louis , MO June 10, 2026 Appliance: LG Refrigerator LRFDS3016S/01 I fe error code Bought the fan motor that goes behind the back wall in the freezer section. Getting to it was relatively easy, though the power cord for the new motor was a lot shorter than the old one, so I had to cut the wires and splice it in - which was a little bit of a pain. Second issue was that the shaft for the new motor was longer than the old one and the fan was rubbing in the housing. So I drilled out the end of the fan blade so that the new shaft could push thru and let the fan blade move closer to the motor so it would stop rubbing.
