James M Camden , DE February 07, 2015 Appliance: Model LSU 121HSV3 Ice from a driving snow stom formed on the coils and eventually (from the end coil section) blocked the fan when the fan started it struck and shattered the blades poor design with the end coil Replaced fan. End coil design not too good in my opinion. Repair was easy; There should be some way to prevent wet, heavy snow from pulling into the end coil. Ice was at least 1 1/2 inches thick on the coils (on the inside) all the way around. Not suprising when in the heat pump mode. Duane S Clover , SC August 24, 2017 Appliance: Model LG INVERTER, M/N LAU095HV The fan motor on the LG outside unit became very noisy as I believe the bearing had gone bad. I replaced the fan motor and that fixed the problem. Silence is golden. I also took extra time to clean the unit, condenser coil, since I had the housing removed to replace the motor.
