Laura W Pendleton , OR October 31, 2014 Appliance: Model LG WM1812 Cracked door and leaky gasket My father in law helped me and in about 2 hours we were able to take the machine apart far enough to get the gasket off. Putting the new gasket on wasn't bad; getting the clamp on was a challenge! Definitely a two person job!! The rests wasn't bad at all. My appliance guy said I wouldn't want to have to replace the gasket because the necessary tool alone was $80. It took some time and I needed a second set of hands for the clamps, but I was one pretty pleased mama when I was able to do this myself. I figure it saved me at least $100 if not more. Read More...
