I did have to use a very small screw driver to push in the tab to release the wiring harness lock. Tom T Centenial , CO May 11, 2019 Appliance: Model LG LG REFRIDGERATOR Door mullion broke I ordered the part and it took a few days to receive it. I removed the old mullion and installed the new one in about 5 minutes. One thing though, be careful when you reinstall the new mullion and don't be too rough with it. Mine wasn't fitting in well, so I thought that I should tap down on it with my hand. Well that is fine, but I was a little too aggressive and I broke the upper hinge. They are a little fragile so be careful. Fortunately, the upper hinge on my old mullion was still good, so I removed it and put it on my new mullion. Then I reinstalled it and took a little more care lining it up. Works perfectly now, but for a second there I thought I had blown it. I also replaced my ice maker on a previous occasion. It came with the spring as well so there was no need to buy that too. Watched the video on youtube to walk me through the repair. Easy enough only took 5 minutes to get the old one off and the new one on.
