Lg MEA40002602 Refrigerator Shelf Guide Rail OEM Part

Few minutes to unscrew and fasten new guide rail.

I googled around to find the part number, ordered the part and replaced it. I was initially advised to get a different piece than I had searched for. I was advised to get the "crisper drawer" rail handle instead of the "cheese drawer / snack pan" rail handle. The piece I was advised to get was wrong, but the company immediately fixed their mistake without any hassle or delay. The description of the part was also correct in that it did not contain a screw or wheel so I knew to salvage that from my broken rail. The only issue was that 1 of the 3 holes the screw goes into wasn't present on one of the new rail handles, but it still worked. And oddly it was present on the other guide rail.

Easy fix after watching a YouTube video ( simply enter the part number in the search engine) The one thing they dont tell is to remove the water filter first. If you dont water will flow till fiter emptys. Since you have the back opened dont forget to clean out the cob webs.

I was able to replace my tracks quickly and easily with the parts I ordered from Appliance Parts Pros. The parts I needed were easy to find on the website and were delivered in a quick manner. I am glad that I kept the original broken parts as I needed to reuse the screws to attach the parts as well as the wheels on which they glide on.

The only delay in the repair were the existing screws which were screwed in tightly. I discovered that the holes for the screws in both the existing guide rails and the replacements were slightly too small for the screws to fit properly. Both the unscrewing and screwing back in resulted in a slight stripping of the screws.
