Scott M Waverly , IA September 16, 2025 Appliance: LG Bottom-Mount Refrigerator LFX21976ST/07 Left refrigerator door wouldn't confidently stay closed Appliance Parts Pros had parts diagrams that allowed me to see that the model of my LG refrigerator had an insert cartridge that slid up into the door that was referred to as a door closer. I'm just a DIY-er so I clicked through the pictures of the part and saw also a video where they described the symptoms and went through the fix. I ordered the parts to fix the bad door and replace the other one proactively and they arrived in like 2 days! I followed the video that I had seen on the parts listing. Everything was fixed with no drama. Only thing I'd add is to emphasize that when re-installing the doors, hold the door in approximately the 90 degree open position to get the door closer keyed shaft to drop in when re-setting the doors.
