Robert F Lafayette , IN March 29, 2015 Appliance: LG Washer WM1832CW Drum bearings noisy when spinning out Removed the drum and replaced the bearings, bearing seal, seal between front and rear outer drum, shocks, and lid. It would be helpful to others to also go over an unit that has the controls in the rear as mine does. You simply unclip the lid in the front, take out the four screws for the soap dispenser and lift the lid up and do not have to remove it at all. Also, I found two screws at the bottom of the front panel below the filter and pump drain hose access that had to be removed before the front panel would come off. The hardest part of the process was getting the door seal spring and wire back on. Last, you can use large diameter sockets as drivers for the bearings. I would not use a punch as one slip will damage the side of the bearing. Overall, it was about a six hour job including thoroughly cleaning the drum and machine inside and out but results were well worth it!!! The video was a big help. Read More... Wally W Wexford , PA October 16, 2015 Appliance: LG Washer WM0742HWA Top of lg front load washer rusting around detergent port needed to remove and replace Stepwise disassembly, taking photos along the way. 7-8 screws to remove old top. Had to uplug all motherboard plugs to get wire harness through the top peice. Took care to number the 10 wire harness plugs in the motherboard to aid in replacement Part was OEM. Fit perfectly.
