Description

The Motor is an OEM component specifically designed for LG refrigerators. It houses the condenser fan motor located behind the rear refrigerator wall. 

This condenser fan motor works to dissipate heat from the refrigeration system. It actively works to cool the refrigerant and cycle it back into the system, ensuring consistent temperatures are maintained inside the refrigerator compartment. 

Symptoms of a bad condenser motor include:

  • Rises in interior refrigerator temperatures  
  • Frost or ice buildups occurring prematurely  
  • Abnormal noises coming from behind the refrigerator
  • The fan motor fails to start or run intermittently

Causes of a bad condenser motor can include normal wear and tear over time, failures in the motor's electronic components, damage from damp environments, or impacted debris.
