Mark H Newport Beach , CA August 01, 2015 Appliance: Model LFC22740SW Wouldn't make ice both refrigerator and freezer were getting warmer After a power surge caused by an electrical pole cross-arm breaking, our LG french door refrigerator wouldn't make ice, and both fridge and freezer were getting warmer. The bottom of the fridge doors (and subsequently the compressor) were extremely hot to touch so I took off the back cover and saw that the condenser fan wasn't spinning. After determining that was the issue, I set up an auxiliary fan to push the blades to cool the condenser and ordered the part from AppliancePartsPros.com (I waited a week, not the advertised 1.7 days average, for delivery). Putting the part in: I had to pull away the condenser to be able to remove the drain pan and gain access to the fan motor. After removing the motor (2 Phillips screws), I transferred the old fan blade (which is pressed on) to the new fan motor. Reversed the steps to reassemble - so far, that has fixed the problem (1 week out). Stephanie H Rio Vista , TX August 29, 2017 Appliance: Model LFC2576ST The condensing fan motor would not turn with power applied. I found the condensing fan motor would not turn with power applied. I also found a drain tube cracked and breaking. I had to use a snub nose screwdriver to remove and replace condensing fan motor. The power wires were simply a snap on. The new drain tube just slipped on. Thanks for the speedy delivery!
