Michael C West Manchester , OH March 12, 2014 Cooling Fan quite working and refrig gave an ERROR CODE CF Removed the old fan housing. Removed the fan from its housing and took the fan blade off. I then smelled the fan and it smelt of burnt insulation. I ordered a new fan and re-assembled in reverse order. Fan started up when compressor fired up. Fan was a plug & play item. Erroe Code cleared on the front and refrig is working fine. Only thing was the fan was not identical with the old one. It fit in the enclosure the same and the shaft was the same length. My old fan was 10 years old and they might have changed the design some. Unit works fine and I hope it lasts another 10 years. I had my part in two days, fast service and packed well. Robert A San Jose , CA June 27, 2016 Appliance: Model LG LRSC26930SW Error code cf I bought a new cooling motor and blade and installed it, everything seems to be working fine now, did not take that long to fix, maybe about 30 minutes, the longest part was trying to get the old fan off the old motor, finally had to cut it off with bolt cutters, I have a 12 year old LG Refrigerator 26930 double door, if you are handy its not that hard. I had to remove a couple parts in front of the motor to get to it, but very easy. Better than buying a new refrigerator...:). I replaced the ice maker last year which was way harder, but doable.
