David E Corrales , NM April 03, 2017 Appliance: Model LMX25984ST Pcb assembly display dimmed led I don't do appliance repairs. However I read several reviews from others about how easy this repair was, so decided to attempt it myself. As others have said, the most difficult part of this repair is figuring how to get the housing for the ice and water dispenser out of the door. I used a very small flat head screwdriver and started at the lower left hand side. As I was able to slightly pry the housing open, I used another screwdriver so as not to loose the ground I had gained. You need to take your time, work around the housing, and do this slowly. It will eventually pop out. There are a number of wires and connectors, and it looks a little intimidating at first, but all of the connectors are different shapes/sizes, and sometimes colors. Remove the connectors, remove about 8-10 screws to get the display board off, screw the new one in, reconnect all the connections, and pop the housing back in. It is that simple. Oh, I did have the circuit breaker off during this time. Easier than pulling the entire fridge out and unplugging. Saved a ton of money.
