A new one was spends, but I went for it in light of the generous return policy - if it didn't solve my problem, I'd return it. The part arrived about 48 hours after I ordered it (wow). I installed it and - problem solved! Thrilled to skip the service call and have the part arrive before a technition couldn've made it out anyway. I was not super confident in diagnosing the problem, but installation of the part was really easy.
