Linda B San Diego , CA November 23, 2015 Appliance: Model LG WM4270 Worn out bearings After watching the video carefully and taking notes for step-by-step dismantling of the LG washer, I took it apart methodically placing each item on a table in the order removed. I was able to remove and replace the bearings with no problems following the tips and tricks. The spider did not seem to be in bad shape but since I had a new one, it seemed reasonable to replace it as well, but it was difficult to extract the old one from the drum. The bolts are assembled with weld glue, so it is a good idea to heat them and tap them before even trying to loosen them. Once that was accomplished, I reassembled the machine and it worked great! It seemed well balanced when run empty but not so much with laundry in it, so I re-leveled it while spinning and this nearly eliminated the vibrations. It has been operating flawlessly for several months now. Thank you, appliancepartspros.com. Without your instructions and efficiently correct parts ordering website, this project would not have been possible. Richard H Grayslake , IL November 26, 2019 Appliance: Model WM2016CW (ABWEEUS) Noisy and not draining I googled LG Washer part number which led me to Appliancepartspros.com There I read about the noise and burning smell which was a broken Spider Arm Assy. Ordered all parts I thought I needed for complete repair so I wouldn't have to open up for years to come (Bearings, seals). After the repair was complete, the washer still would not drain. removed the front panel again to access the pump, opened housing and found rubber-like debris behind the impeller. Reassembled and now drains. Washer works perfectly, and might go another 15 years! The front boot was the hardest item to do, found a video on-site to watch. BTW, the front panel is like handling razor blades! wear gloves, still, have a good bleeder going. Tim B Climax , MI June 07, 2015 Lg washing machine drum bearings bad after 11 years I watched the video and and we started tearing the old girl apart. We labeled bags and put bolts and screw in proper bags. took some pictures as a reference when we put this back together when all new parts arrive in a few days, "getting old can't remember like I used to" Found out needed some seals as well as new bearings. We took everything apart and cleaned it, found some slim like substance all over the outer drum and in drain hoses. We found the drain hose with lots of slim and dirt in it and that had been causing trouble codes to come on about every time we used it. It took about 3 hours to tear apart and clean up unit. When parts arrived it took about 2 hours to assemble and get running. Unit runs and sounds like new again, no trouble codes any more. If you have some mechanical ability and watch the video you can do this and save big money.
