Description

This rotor position sensor (Hall sensor) tracks the direct-drive motor's rotor position and speed so the control can commutate the washer motor accurately. Replacing a failed sensor can restore proper wash/agitate and spin performance. What it does:

• Detects rotor position and speed from the stator assembly
• Sends timing feedback to the control for correct motor start, direction, and speed
• Supports smooth agitation and spin ramp-up/ramp-down
• Failure may cause: no spin or agitation, cycle stalling/pausing, or an LE motor error code

• 1 rotor position sensor assembly

Install notes:

• Unplug the washer and shut off water; wear protective gloves
• Access the motor at the rear of the tub; remove the back panel if needed
• Remove the rotor and stator; support the stator to protect wiring, then unclip/unscrew and replace the sensor
• Align the sensor correctly and seat the connector fully before reassembly and testing
