The slides attach to the pedestal side brackets with 2 screws, easy to remove and install new parts, the slides are not labeled correctly - the left is actually the right side and the right is the left side. All the plastic part does is act like a lock to hold the drawer closed. be sure to get the slides positioned correctly on the drawer before attaching the screws.
