Description

This drum spider is the cast-aluminum support that mounts the washer drum to the drive shaft, restoring stable drum rotation and alignment for front-load washers. Replaces a worn or damaged spider to reduce drum wobble and noise. What it does:
  • Supports and centers the washer drum on the drive shaft for smooth spinning
  • Transfers drive torque from the motor/shaft to the outer tub/drum
  • Commonly replaced when drum wobble, knocking, or loud metallic noises occur during spin
  • Helps prevent accelerated wear of the tub, bearings, and seals caused by a damaged support
