Darvin S Wellington , KY October 18, 2014 Appliance: Amana Gas Dryer LG1009W Drum roller had a bearing down and the door switch assembly was bad Took top off the dryer first by taking the metel strip off back. Then took the control panel loose on the front and finally took the door off. this let me get to the roller assembly and also the door switch. Replaced these and re-assembled. Gas dryer is 7 years old and out of warranty. I went to YouTube and found how to dissemble my dryer (actually it was an electric unit displayed but uses the same basic parts as the gas unit. After viewing the website, I felt confident that I could find the problem and fix it. Well, happy to report great success! I saved a ton of money. I also cleaned out the inside that had a lot of dust. Should work more efficiently. I recommend this to any person good with tools. Read More...
