David W Havelock , NC December 29, 2015 Appliance: Model LG KENMORE REFRIGERATOR MODEL #795.79309.901 Freezer light not working nor interior display led lights Lg Kenmore refrigerator model # 795.79309.901. I wasn't sure the switch for the freezer light also controlled the display led lights inside the refrigerator. I had the repair manual but it was not much good as it did not answer this question. The interior led lights are crucial as they determine the settings for the refrigerator ( cold, colder, coldest, ice maker on/off, etc, plus error codes). Used a putty knife to pry the old switch out. There are no hidden screws to deal with just two clips that will come out fairly easy. This is a two-button push switch for the door sensor circuit. It controls more than just the refridge and freezer lights, ie the fridge thermostat and the led display lights.. Douglas C Hometown , IL June 05, 2015 Appliance: Model 795.69299.902 The refrigerator portion wasn't getting cold light and and freezer circulating fan also not working I deduced that the switch door switch which controls the light and also controls the circulation fan was faulty. I ordered a new switch and once it arrived a couple days later I put it in and, voila! Fridge is back to working like a champion.
