Ruth R Grovetown , GA June 20, 2014 Appliance: Model LG SIDE BY SIDE 26940SW Icemaker needed new ice tray Fairly easy fix. disconnected clip from bottom of old tray. Wiring carefully unclipped from bottom of tray.. With a bit of muscle carefully pulled back end of unit tray was attached to allowing 1 end of tray to disconnect from unit. Then proceeded to do the same on other end. And then old tray came right out. Then reversed procedures to install new tray. Note before started disassembling pressed small button under unit on far right so ice in tray would be released. Empty tray made removal easier. Then turned off icemaker. When finished turned ice maker back on. And the project was complete. It was fairly easy for me and I'm a 65 year old female. Sammy R Temple , TX August 29, 2014 The ice tray was broken which leaked water in the freezer covering everything in ice The repair was very simple. The projectin on the left side of the old ice tray had to be forced up and out of the slot. The right side simply pulled out of the holder. The ice tray was simply snapped into place on the right side and the left projection slide into the slot. Extremely easy and took less than 5 minutes. Bruce B Corpus Christi , TX March 12, 2019 Appliance: Model LSC27926SB (AWBCLGA) Flap on ice dispenser was loose I was buying a part for my other refrigerator and decided to replace the ice tray on my LG, as it was not emptying properly. When I found the part, I also saw a video attached to the ice dispenser parts. I had taped over the ice dispenser years ago and would just open the freezer for ice. Watched the video and they sure made it look easy to replace that flap, so I decided to give it a shot. I replaced the ice tray as soon as the parts came in, but did not have the time to tear off the front panel that day. Decided the time was now available and sat down in front of the fridge and started feeling for the openings mentioned in the video, mine did not have those. Instead of a screwdriver, as is shown in the video, I used a plastic putty knife to slide under the panel to click loose the tabs. I knew I would scratch the fridge if I went at it with a screwdriver. Once I removed the panel everything was just as it was in the video. (note: I did not even have to watch the video twice, it was very clear and understandable the first time.) I took it apart as described, including the warning given about the spring (which I also ordered a replacement, just in case). Everything, except the ice funnel, worked as perfect as the expert in the video and I was pleasantly surprised with how quickly the job was completed. I thank you, and curse you, for providing the video showing how easy this job, that I had put off for years, was to complete. Thanks again, Bruce.
