Description

This refrigerator water inlet valve assembly regulates the flow of water from your home's supply to the dispenser and ice maker. Replacing a sticking or leaking valve restores proper dispensing and ice production and helps prevent unwanted water flow. What it does

• Opens and closes solenoids to route water to the dispenser and/or ice maker as commanded
• Restores normal dispenser flow and ice maker fill
• Helps prevent continuous filling or dripping caused by a valve that won't seal
• Common symptoms: no water from dispenser, slow/weak flow, no ice production, water drips or runs continuously, humming/clicking with no water flow

Install notes

• Disconnect power and shut off the household water supply before servicing
• Keep a towel or tray handy; relieve line pressure, then move hoses and wire connectors one at a time to the new valve
• Ensure tubing is fully seated; turn water back on and check all connections for leaks
• Flush water at the dispenser to clear air/debris and verify proper operation
