A bearing is a mechanical part made to restrict movement and prevent other parts from shifting about in the tractor. This is a flange bearing, referring to its particular shape. The bearing slides into place while the flange creates an added layer of protection around the connection. While restricting motion, bearings experience a lot of friction.
