The Dishwasher Water Inlet Valve is an OEM part for GE dishwashers. It controls the flow of water into the dishwasher during each cycle phase. The valve regulates water pressure and volume to provide the right amount for washing, rinsing, and adjusts flow based on cycle settings.
Causes of a bad water inlet valve include mineral buildup from water hardness inhibiting movement or damage allowing leaks.
Symptoms of a bad inlet valve are:
- Incomplete or inadequate washing
- Long cycle times or shutting off prematurely
- Water leaking or spraying inside machine
This genuine GE OEM replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.
