Description

This genuine OEM air filter assembly is a complete unit that aids in filtering the air that comes into the engine while the trimmer is in use. The plastic housing protects a foam filter that catches dust and debris. Over time, air filters become clogged with regular use and are usually replaced as a part of routine maintenance. In the event that the air cover or base becomes damaged, however, a replacement of the entire assembly may be needed. This part can do the job for compatible machines. This OEM air filter assembly is manufactured by MTD and meets exact standards for original equipment manufacturing. It is compatible with many trimmers from MTD and Craftsman. The replacement of the air filter assembly requires a screwdriver to remove the mounting screws of the old base and secure the new unit in place.
