Description

This brand-new, original MTD air filter attaches inside the air filter housing of a string trimmer to block debris and dirt. Tiny particles can accumulate inside the machine and cause carburetor and engine problems. String trimmers come with pre-installed air filters, but when it becomes too dirty, it will not be able to filter the tiny particles efficiently. It may also cause overheating issues. When there's too much dirt accumulation inside the string trimmer, it may disrupt the carburetor and engine performance. Some symptoms include carburetor and engine spit back and rough idling. In some scenarios, it will lead to complete machine failure. Replacing the air filter is easy, only requires a screwdriver, and will take less than 10 minutes. Open the air filter cover and remove the dirty filter. Put the replacement filter into the air cleaner housing. Make sure it is aligned. Then, close the air cleaner cover. This genuine MTD air filter will only work with string trimmer models from MTD, Bolens, Yard Machines, Craftsman, and Cub Cadet. This air filter is sold individually.
