Description

This is a replacement depth bar for a tiller. The depth stake is a metal bar that attaches vertically to the back of the tiller. It can be adjusted to limit the tiller's forward motion, which in turn allows the machine to dig more deeply into the ground to break up the soil. The depth bar is especially useful when working in hard, compacted ground. When used properly, the depth bar allows the tiller to break the soil into smaller pieces. Alternatively, the depth stake can be raised, or even removed when the soil conditions are softer. The depth bar is easily and conveniently adjusted to till to the desired level.The depth bar may break with normal use, or if it hits hard objects in the soil. Luckily, removal and replacement of the depth stake is very easy. All it takes is a socket wrench to remove the nut and bolt, the torsion spring, and then ultimately the depth bar.
