This replacement fuel tank is an authentic OEM part for a lawn mower. The fuel tank attaches to the exterior of a lawn mower and allows the appliance owner to top up their mower with more fuel. Fuel is then passed from the tank to the carburetor through a fuel line. Fuel tanks are made of durable reinforced plastic but because they are located on the outside of the mower, they are susceptible to physical damage. If something heavy were to fall on the fuel tank, it could be dented or even punctured. A damaged fuel tank will leak gasoline on the mower body, creating a potential fire hazard. In this situation, the tank should be drained and then unbolted and replaced. Be sure to remove the fuel line before unbolting it from the mower. This replacement fuel tank is a top of the line part sourced from its original manufacturer.
