Description
This .498 x 1.64-inch wheel shoulder bolt is a genuine OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is made for use on lawnmowers, edgers, and tillers to fasten the wheel to the frame. Shoulder bolts have three sections: the visible head, an unthreaded section called the shoulder, and the threaded section for locking it in place. The shoulder or unthreaded area allows the wheel to rotate. This shoulder bolt will have a spring washer installed before the wheel is installed. A locking nut is used on the opposite side to ensure the wheel is secure.If the lawnmower wheel or other equipment wheel needs to be replaced or the shoulder bolt becomes rusted, causing friction when pushing the mower, this replacement part is easy to install. First, the nut holding the shoulder bolt and wheel in place is removed with a wrench. The shoulder bolt is then pulled out from the opposite side. Install the new shoulder bolt, followed by the remaining wheel parts.
