Description

This choke bracket is a genuine OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer for use on snowblowers. The choke control bracket opens or closes the choke plate in the carburetor to help start the engine. The choke should be closed when getting it ready to work. Closing it shuts the air intake and keeps the gas mixture richer, which helps the engine fire up when it is cold. If the choke bracket is rusted or broken and is working, the choke may not work correctly. The engine may not start or may run roughly when it does start. If this happens, the choke bracket should be replaced.Before replacing the choke bracket, remove the spark plug and empty the gas from the snowblower. Wear safety gloves and safety glasses. Locate the choke and remove the screws holding it in place. Remove and discard it and install the new bracket. Use the screws from the original bracket to secure the bracket. Reinstall the fuel and spark plug. This choke bracket is a silver metal part that is sold individually; it does not come with screws or bolts. It is designed for use in snowblowers manufactured by Craftsman and MTD.
