Description
This bushing, also known as a plain bushing, plain bearing, or sleeve bearing, is used in lawn and garden equipment to prevent excess friction between two items that slide against each other. The bushing is used to secure the flange bearing on lawn mowers and other equipment. Bushings are also located on the wheels of lawn mowers. Sometimes, the bushings can get worn out or become damaged through normal use. When this occurs, the part will need to be replaced.If the wheel bushing needs to be replaced, the equipment should be raised and placed on a stable surface. The cap on the wheels can be removed using a screwdriver. Find the clip on the axle and remove it using a flat head screwdriver and a hammer. The wheel can then be removed and the wheel bushing can be taken out of them.
